Tv-B-Gone Remote

With the permission of the original creator, Mitch Altman, and with the help of LadyAda’s site, I decided to build and sell tv-b-gone remotes hidden inside of everyday objects. For the current series, I decided to hide the remotes inside of cigarette boxes. All of the boards have been redesigned and etched by hand, and polyurethane foam was added to help reinforce the boxes. This project is completely open source, and the original parts list and schematic are available here. I created a wearable display box so I could sell them at art events without having to maintain a booth.  The display box was built inside of a suitcase, so I can close it up and take it with me wherever I go.  These were available for sale during the ArtOutside event that happened at the enchanted forest during SXSW, and I will have them available to sell at different locations in the future. Or, you could just email me if you’re interested in purchasing one.
